John 17:19

For their sakes I sanctify myself. He did this when he came into the world, when he made it his meat to do the Father's will, and when he gave himself to death. We sanctify ourselves when we "present our bodies as living sacrifice" (Ro 12:1).

1 Corinthians 2:4

Not with enticing words of man's wisdom. He did not resort to the arts and enticements of Greek oratory or philosophy.

But in demonstration of the Spirit and of power. Filled by the Holy Spirit, he spoke in its power, and thus moved upon the hearts of his hearers. His words were also supported by the power of the Spirit shown in miracles (Ro 15:19 2Co 12:12).

1 Thessalonians 1:5

For our gospel came not unto you in word only. God gave the spoken word power, the power of the Holy Spirit which dictated it.

But also in power. Observe that the "power" is referred to the preachers.

Ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. Ye know what was the life, the earnestness and the power of the Holy Spirit of us while we were preaching among you.
